REGISTER NOW FOR FALL CLASSES

Studio Élan Policies 2008-2009

 Parking:

     Parking, Parking, Parking - it always seems to be an issue. Our studio shares space with the Dentist office next door. There are limited spaces in front of our building and some in the back. I know it is difficult when you have small children to park away from your destination but...... We will be posting three signs in front of the dentist office "for patient parking only" - please DO NOT PARK THERE:) If the lot is full, please try street parking. Let's be good neighbors and allow the dental patients to have parking too:) Thank you for your cooperation.

  Tuition:

     Tuition is due by the 10th of each month. Payments made after the 10th of the month will incur an extra $10 charge. If using cash or scrip be sure to label it using the envelopes provided and place payments in the tuition box. When using checks please write your child’s name on the memo section. Tuition is based on the entire dance season. Months vary in weeks, tuition does not vary month to month. Please remember that tuition is non-refundable.

     We will be using auto-pay for monthly payments when tuition is due. This will be easier all the way around. There are a few different options so please call with any questions or concerns.  This will be as painless as possible:) You will need to come to the office to set up and sign agreement, student contracts and waivers.

1class/week                                                             $35/month auto pay or $40/month non auto pay

2 classes/week                                                        $60/month auto pay or $65month non auto pay

3 classes/week                                                        $85/month auto pay or $90/month non auto pay

4th class/student and up                                      add $25.00/month auto pay or $30.00/month non auto pay

(either same person or in family)

  Fees:

There is an annual family registration fee of $35.

Costumes for the Spring Performance will be purchased and kept by the student.

Costumes are ordered in early February. If you know your student will not be attending the

Spring Performance, please alert the teacher so we do not over order costumes. We

anticipate costume fees to be $30-$60. Costumes fees will  be prepaid in the month of February.

 

  Dress code:

Ballet students 3-6 years may wear any color leotard and tights, and ballet shoes. They may

wear a simple skirt. The last class of each month they may wear “fancy” outfits.

Ballet students 7 and up will wear black leotards with pink or white tights, and ballet slippers.

Simple skirts are acceptable. Ballet shoes required.

All other dancers must have appropriate shoes, jazz or tap. Clothing should be dance

appropriate: form fitting and flexible. Jazz pants are preferred for jazz/tap dancers-

this can be tights and dance shorts, Capri's, or full length jazz pants. 

No baggy t-shirts, jeans or cut-offs please.

Bare feet for tumbling only.

All dancers must have their hair pulled back!!!!!!!!!! All ballet students must have their hair “up”,

either clipped or in a ballet bun.

No jewelry please.

 

  Class readiness:

Dancers need to be ready to dance when they enter the dance studio. This means the little

 ones need to use the restroom prior to class. Hair needs to be pulled back or up. Absolutely no food (or

 gum)!! is allowed in the dance studio. Water bottles are encouraged.

 

 

 

 Communication at the Studio:

    We communicate with our parents in a multitude of ways. You can find

 information on the website, on the studio bulletin board and by letters sent home.

 Please send a dance bag of some sort with your dancer so that we can send home

 updates and news!!!! We will also post them under the news & info section.

    We would love to be able to personally contact each and everyone of you face to face - but just can't get to everyone - so please check these resources to stay on

 top of what's happening, or call us if you have questions or concerns. Thanks!

 

  Snow Days/ Studio Cancellation:

     We will follow the District 21 closure policy. We will also put information on our website

 (studioelandance.com) as well as on the local radio stations. Because our start time in at 10 am,

if it is a delay - we will have class, unless weather is really bad - then please listen to radio and/or check

the website for updates and closures.
