    Classical Ballet:

Creative Ballet (3 and 4 years): A welcome to the world of dance. Children will jump, twirl, leap, soar and much more! Dancers will be stretching and strengthening their muscles and imaginations. They start the classical ballet training here, beginning to learn terms and positions - with lots of play.

Pre-Ballet (4-6 years): In addition to playful dancing, some basic ballet terms and concepts- such as turn out and classical positions are introduced. Barre work is also introduced.

Ballet IA & IIA (7/8 years): At this point the dancers are ready for a more traditional ballet class, with barre work and center work. Children will learn turns, big jumps, and combination steps, along with a sense of musicality and rhythm. The emphasis will be on proper technique, with each child progressing at his or her own pace.

Ballet IIB (8+ years): Dancers continue their classical ballet journey. Traditional class work as above. This class is now offered 2 days a week - for all those students wishing for pointe work someday.

Ballet for Gymnasts (7-12 years): Offered at Riverside Gymnastics Facility. This is a traditional ballet class, moving at a brisker pace due to the experience of the students. A portion of the focus will be on ballet moves which fall within a gymnastics framework, yet that is not the limit of the class. Dancers will learn classical ballet terminology, barre work, center work, and combinations. As always, emphasis will be on proper technique, and individual progress.

Pre-Pointe: Pre-Pointe will develop foot and ankle strength and flexibility, as well as the core strength needed to progress to dancing on Pointe.

Pointe: Progression to dancing on Pointe is a big "leap" in a ballet dancers education. These students will be learning proper technique, strength,  and flexibility with barre work. Moving into center work only when the student is ready. These students have a few more expectations to get to this level - such as taking classes at least 2 times a week, and having experience in the ballet class. This class is determined on dancers experience, ability and teacher recommendation.

Creative Dance (2 1/2 yrs): A tap, tumble, and movement class. This is a great class to start your little one in. Children will begin to learn how their body moves, bends, and stretches. Children will work on basic tumbling, tap, and movement skills, as well as learning how to move and express themselves through music.

Tap/Jazz/Tumble (3-5 yrs): Young children will begin stretching, rolling, balancing, and jumping, then put on their taps and kick their heels up - so to speak:) Students will learn basic tap steps, technique, and begin learning musicality and rhythms. Fundamental tumbling skills are taught.

Tap/Jazz/Tumble (6-8 yrs): In this class dancers are offered a combination of Jazz, Tap, and Tumbling, all with a ballet foundation.  By no means does the child have to have previous experience. All children will learn and progress at an individual pace.
